What is the PFCU Scholarship?

Princeton Federal Credit Union proudly awards three (3) $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors.

These are paid jointly to the winning students (who are members of PFCU) and their chosen accredited educational institutions.

We are accepting applications now through April 19, 2025.


Eligibility

The applicant must be a member in good standing of Princeton Federal Credit Union (PFCU) and must be enrolled as a high school senior at the time of the application.

  • Don't worry! Becoming a member is FAST and EASY! Apply for PFCU membership here, or visit our friendly branch at 774 Alexander Road in Princeton. We have lobby hours Monday-Saturday!

  • Scholarship funds may be used for tuition only at an accredited educational institution (community college, 4-year college or university) for the 2025-26 school year.

A complete application includes the following:

High School Transcript

  • Showing a cumulative GPA of completed marking periods as of the date of submission. GPA must be converted to NON-WEIGHTED on a 4.0 scale.

Letter of Recommendation

  • On the letterhead of the current high school and signed by a teacher, mentor, administrator or coach. This can be scanned and sent to marketing@princetonfcu.org or mailed to Princeton Federal Credit Union, 774 Alexander Road, Princeton, NJ 08540

Essay from the applicant

  • Compose a 1-page essay describing your goals and aspirations as you enter the next chapter of your continued education. In this essay, please include your most impactful extracurricular activities, sports, clubs, awards, or leadership roles you hold at your school, as well as any involvement you have in your local community.  

  • Essays may be emailed as a .pdf (preferred) to marketing@princetonfcu.org , uploaded via your application form, or brought to Princeton Federal Credit Union in-person.

Selection Process

The selection is based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, community involvement, teacher reference, leadership roles, applicant essay and completion of application.
